As our goal at IACEFT is to promote the importance
of health and fitness of riders throughout all disciplines. We feel that it is important to begin emphasizing these concepts
to our equestrian youth. The Miss Equestrian Fitness Competition is designed to honor
those young ladies who exemplify a healthy lifestyle through the equestrian sport.
This competition has three divisions, and is open to young ladies ages 4 - 18. The breakdown is as follows:
Little Miss Equestrian Fitness 4 - 8
Jr. Miss Equestrian Fitness 9 - 13
Miss
Equestrian Fitness 14 - 18
Along with the title of Miss Equestrian
Fitness 2009, winners of each division will receive a tiara, age appropriate equine themed gift assortment,
and various press releases. Winners will also be announced in the 1st Quarter IACEFT Newsletter.
In addition, every contestant will receive a VHS copy of EQ: The Exercise
Quotient for Equestrians, which retails for $34.95 on Amazon.com.
The
requirements for each age division are as follows:
Little Miss
Equestrian Fitness
Contestants must submit a photo demonstrating their favorite equine
activity.
Jr. Miss Equestrian Fitness
Contestants
must submit a photo, along with a written essay 250 words or less, telling why health and fitness is an important part of
horseback riding.
Miss Equestrian Fitness
Contestants must submit a photo, along with a written essay 500 words or less, telling how they use horseback
riding and equine related activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.
